Terms of Use

Welcome to PaceItForward ("Platform"), operated by Jaco Els Services Pty Ltd (Private Company, Reg. No. 2022 / 239437 / 07) of 145 Riesling Crescent, Wellington, 7655 ("we", "us", "our"). By using this Platform you agree to these Terms.

1. What we do

We provide tools for athletes to raise pledges for charities. Supporters pledge an amount linked to performance tiers. Payments are made directly to the charity — we are not a payment processor or fundraising intermediary.

2. Who may use the Platform

You must be 13+ to use the Platform. If you are under 18, you need a parent/guardian's consent.

3. Accounts & content

Information you submit must be accurate and lawful. Athletes and charities confirm they have rights to any photos, logos, or text they upload and grant us a non-exclusive licence to display that content on the Platform and in related promotion.

4. Pledges

Pledges are promises made by supporters. Final amounts are determined by the athlete's official result or verified tracking. All donations are paid directly to the charity. We are not responsible for issuing Section 18A tax receipts — please arrange this with the charity.

5. Prohibited use

No illegal, hateful, misleading, or infringing content; no spamming or scraping; no attempts to bypass security.

6. Our IP

The Platform code, design, and branding are our IP or used under licence. You may not copy or reverse engineer the Platform.

7. Disclaimers & liability

The Platform is provided "as is". We do not guarantee any athlete performance or that pledges will be collected. To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed R1,000.

8. Changes & termination

We may update these Terms and will post the new date above. We may suspend or remove content/accounts that violate these Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Disputes may be brought in the courts of South Africa.
